I have many of my insights while in yoga class, sometimes I think I should bring in a pad and pen to write down the flood of ideas and thoughts that pop into my head before and after class. In todays class, I was thinking about how it is not about what happens to you in life, but how you deal and react to what happens that makes all the difference. And in life we all have our stories that can keep us stuck in self-defeat, isolation, and fear. The good news is we can change our past habital patterns one step at a time.
As technology has taken over leading us to be online "7/24", we look down more than we look up. Now think about how much can be missed everyday in the world off your phone and devices. I challenge you to take one day and notice with your ears and eyes all the synchronicities that happens every day all around you. No matter where you are in your life, there are always signs, events, words that are signaling you in a forward momentum if you are present. There is help all around you if you open your eyes and ears.
Webster defines Synchronicity as "the coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events (as similar thoughts in widely separated persons or a mental image of an unexpected event before it happens) that seem related but are not explained by conventional mechanisms of causality —used especially in the psychology of C. G. Jung"
What I've noticed is the more awake you are to your life, meaning being present the more you will notice the synchronicities all around you of events, conversations, or meeting new people that are giving you messages on your journey forward. My challenge to you is take one day off your phone and notice the world around you, write down what pops into your head, what conversations you overhear and what they may be bringing to you. Have fun and see what you notice.
